The Churches of Christ and Christian Churches OAC
is a brotherhood of Orthodox Christian faith that is committed to Apostolic
Tradition (Matt 28:19-20; Acts 2:36-42; 2 Thess 2:15). While our Restorationist
faith-heritage was/is a back-to-the-Bible movement, with slogans such as “No
creed but Christ,” the ancient and broadly embraced Apostles’ Creed is
recognized as a meaningful and memorable summary of biblical faith:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus
Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of
the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was
buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he
ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father
almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in
the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
We do what fellow believers have done for millennia. Though flawed and fallible
sinners (Rom 3:23) saved by grace through faith in Christ (Eph 2:8), we endeavor
to celebrate, live, proclaim, and explain His Gospel. The Lord’s Table is
observed every Lord’s Day. New converts are baptized into Christ. Click below to
